Monitoring foresigth activities in Europe and the rest of the world

The report ‘Monitoring foresight activities in Europe and the rest of the world’ is part of a series of publications produced by the European Foresight Monitoring Network (EFMN project, 2004-2008). After 4 years of activity, the report provides you with an overview of the backgrounds and organization of the EFMN, including the identification of 2.000 foresight initiatives. Annual overviews of foresight activities were produced at country level as well as an analysis of all the collected foresight initiatives.
Entre estas actividades se encuentra el caso de Gipuzkoa; “Gipuzkoa 2020 – 4 posibles escenarios de futuro”. Esta iniciativa, impulsada por la Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa, y que contó con la asistencia técnica de PROSPEKTIKER, se identifica como uno de los procesos de prospectiva analizados (ver el informe incluido en esta serie: Mapping Foresight - Revealing how Europe and other world regions navigate into the future).
La mayoría de procesos identificados han sido realizados por países europeos, si bien se observa como son cada vez más los organismos internacionales que se interesan por la prospectiva; especialmente de Estados Unidos, Japón y China.
